"Ned Sherrin is notably mentioned in Douglas Adams' fifth novel of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, namely Mostly Harmless. In chapter four it says that Tricia McMillan wishes to "gradually fall asleep to the sound of Ned Sherrin being terribly clever about something"." Just saying that something is notable doesn't make it so.
