Sometimes a major glitch gets found and they disabled ranked untill they fix it. They dont care if glitches are used in normals. Beucase riot games is garbage. apparently citadel holding shorted riot server capacity so they could only allow the selling of normal games but not the buying of ranked.

I don't see the major impact since the 4 man party is really only affected in flex rank. You are still able to play normals ARAM and rotating game mode.
