Tori Amos' debut was a very 80's pop incarnation of her band as a new wave act, though her sound was darker than the norm.Its definitely not one of the all-time worst debuts as Rolling Stone had said. If you're a fan of 80's synthpop, you'll find this record to be like a Bonnie Tyler record with superior songwriting & much less corny production, with hints of 80's Stevie Nicks.
