  1. Leben. Linda Ronstadt wurde 1946 in Tucson als Tochter von Gilbert Ronstadt (1911–1995) und Ruth Mary Copeman (1914–1982) geboren. Ihr Großvater Federico Ronstadt war 1868 im mexikanischen Sonora als Sohn eines deutschen Einwanderers aus Hannover geboren worden, der mit 14 Jahren nach Tucson gekommen war, um das Handwerk des Wagenbaues zu erlernen.
