Perkins. 95. fallen in love with this incredible Bossa nova album. after being skyrocketed to stardom after the internationally influential masterpiece of 'The Girl from Ipanema'. , Gilberto went on to lead a successful career spanning 4 decades. This album, however, is her best in my opinion.

She became famous in the early 1960s through a recording of the Bossa Nova hit "The Girl from Ipanema", performing alongside Stan Getz and João Gilberto (whom she was married to at that time).
