مریم میرزاخانی (۲۲ اردیبهشت ۱۳۵۶ – ۲۳ تیر ۱۳۹۶) ریاضیدان ایرانی و استاد دانشگاه استنفورد بود. میرزاخانی در سال ۲۰۱۴ به دلیل کنش‌گری در زمینه « دینامیک و هندسه سطوح ریمانی و فضاهای پیمانه‌ای آن‌ها» برنده مدال فیلدز شد که بالاترین جایزه در ریاضیات است.
پروفسور مریم میرزاخانی نابغه ریاضی ایران و چهره جوان و ممتاز بین‌المللی در ریاضیات جهان است؛ بانویی ساده و متواضع و در عین حال مستعد، خلاق، سخت‌کوش و باانگیزه که همه موانع را پشت سر گذاشت و نام وی به‌عنوان تاریخ‌ساز برای همیشه جاودانه شد. مریم نخستین زن در جهان و اولین ایرانی برنده نوبل ریاضیات است که با عنوان «مدال فیلدز» از آن یاد می‌شود.
Maryam Mirzakhani (Persian: مریم میرزاخانی, pronounced [mæɾˈjæm miːɾzɑːxɑːˈniː]; 12 May 1977 – 14 July 2017) was an Iranian mathematician and a professor of mathematics at Stanford University. Her research topics included Teichmüller theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory, and symplectic geometry.
Maryam Mirzakhani (persisch مریم میرزاخانی, DMG Maryam(-e) Mīrzāḫānī, geboren am 12. Mai 1977 in Teheran; gestorben am 14. Juli 2017 in Stanford, Kalifornien) war eine iranische Mathematikerin. Sie wurde 2014 als erste Frau und erste iranische Person mit der Fields-Medaille ausgezeichnet.
