Macho was an Italian-American disco / R&B studio group. The Guadeloupe born French-Italian businessman Jacques Fred Petrus and Italian musician Mauro Malavasi, formed a joint production company, called Goody Music Production (GMP), in the mid-1970s. Their first project, in 1978, was called Macho, featuring Italian Marzio Vincenti as lead singer.

Change. Italian Disco-Soul group, based in Bologna, founded by songwriters-producers Jacques Fred Petrus, Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani . Initially they started with guest vocalist Luther Vandross, but soon after James Robinson replaced him regularly. In the same mode, Jocelyn Brown was replaced by Deborah Cooper as a main lead vocalist.
In 1978 Petrus and Malavasi launched their first studio project called Macho. There followed a series of releases under different names, including Elvin Shaad (1978), Peter Jacques band (1979), Revanche (1979), Rudy (an album featuring the Italian Goody Music collaborator Rudy Trevisi), Midnight Gang (1979), A.N.T.I. Rock (1980) (an Italian version of Ottawan 's disco hit " D.I.S.C.O.
