Three's a Crowd is a 1969 American made-for-television comedy film starring Larry Hagman, who was starring in the hit sitcom I Dream of Jeannie at the time. The film was directed by Harry Falk for Screen Gems, the production company behind I Dream of Jeannie.
Seven years later, however, Hagman pops up in another city, married to someone else. Jessica Parker and E. J. Peaker costar as the pilot's two brides. The film's title tune was written by Bobby Hart and Tommy Boyce, the same team responsible for several of the Monkees' 1960's hits. Three's a Crowd debuted December 2, 1969.
A cute and actually funny comedy, a rarity for the ABC Movies of the Week, but one that sputters out a little bit by the end of its predictably farcical third act and then ends on a bummer note.
