This film holds a special place in my heart for Buster has always been one of my favorite actor/directors, and the contributions he’s made for cinema will never be forgotten. Elwood B. ★★★★. Damn Buster, at the age of 70 still going strong. Not as much physical stuff for obvious reasons but the character stays strong, sweet and gullible.
1965 24 min. This short film from director Gerald Potterton (Heavy Metal) stars Buster Keaton in one of the last films of his long career. As "the railrodder", Keaton crosses Canada from east to west on a railway track speeder. True to Keaton's genre, the film is full of sight gags as our protagonist putt-putts his way to British Columbia.

A railway stationmaster at a dying end-of-the-line village in Hokkaido is haunted by memories of his dead wife and daughter. When the railroad line is scheduled to be closed, he is offered a job at a hotel, but he is emotionally unable to part with his career as a railroader. His life takes a turn when he meets a young woman with an interest in trains who resembles his daughter.

It would be awesome if you could hire an engineer (like you can hire workers in the repair shop) that you assign to an engine and give it a fixed consist and the define a route. Would be very nice to automate passenger and contract delivery.
