16. März 2019 · True as a Turtle 1957 is a film that I am not too familiar with although I remember the name from the time of release. Wendy Toye directed this Comedy – Here she is below on the Set of the Film. This film was directed by Wendy Toye who was one of the few women directors of the era.

Handlung. Der Film beginnt mit einem Bericht der jungen Reporterin April O’Neil über eine schwere Diebstahlserie, die New York heimsucht. Bei ihren Recherchen ist sie auf Hinweise gestoßen, dass ein Clan aus Ninjadieben namens Foot Gang dahinter steckt, welche auch junge Ausreißer und Straßendiebe in ihre Reihen rekrutieren – ein Hinweis, den Chief Sterns des NYPD nicht ernst nimmt.
Newlyweds Tony (John Gregson) and Jane Hudson (June Gregson) throw a party on their yacht, 'The Turtle'. Their guests include Sir Harold and Lady Brazier, who own the well-equipped 'Liberty'.
