It's just too bad that Joy (actually a jilted lover attempting blackmail) didn't last longer. Although she IS the most important character, living or dead, there needed an actual/palpable focal point. And being sexy helps. Young swimmers Sheldon Lawrence and Joy Webster in STORMY CROSSING. 29. Apr. 2013 · For a good 30' or so I had no idea what kind of film this was (never having seen it before), Then there is the lack of suspense-We know who the murderer is. Joy Webster is awful (was her voice dubbed?) and John Ireland looks tired and a bit scruffy. Sheldon Lawrence, Maureen Connell and, surprisngly, Derek Bond, make the most of their roles.
