It was built in 1916 by Emmett L. Kennedy and his sons Karl and Charles. It is a Burr Arch bridge, 154 feet (47 m) long over Big Flat Rock Creek.
Licensed to Rushville, Indiana, the station is owned by Rodgers Broadcasting Corporation. History. WIFE first signed on the air on August 5, 1971, as WRCR, owned by the Rush County Broadcasting Company. The station's facilities were built on North Perkins Street, east of the Rushville courthouse square.

1883 – Rushville Becomes a City. On August 21, 1883, there was an election to decide the question of incorporation of Rushville as a city. The vote was largely in favor of incorporation (Yes 389, No 131). The council was to divide the town into not less than three wards, each having not less than 200 inhabitants.
