In 2009, AC/DC received four nominations for their 2008 album Black Ice in the ARIA Music Awards which included Best Rock Album, Highest Selling Album, Best Group and Best Album. They won the awards for Best Rock Album and Highest Selling Album. Overall, AC/DC have received 50 nominations and has won 17 awards.

AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 10 March 2003. During the ceremony, the band performed " Highway to Hell " and "You Shook Me All Night Long", with guest vocals provided by host Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.
Im selben Jahr wurden AC/DC in die neu gegründete ARIA Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Während der Tournee zu Blow Up Your Video musste sich Malcolm Young einer viermonatigen Alkohol-Entziehungskur unterziehen; währenddessen vertrat ihn sein Neffe Stevie Young auf den Konzerten.
