And for the tearful Beatles fans among you, brace for impact, this one’s about to get a little sentimental. “I was really emotional when Jack Douglas, the producer who produced John, mentioned it to me,” Ringo confided.
He does BG on Ringo's version. I don’t know, I’ve yet to hear one of these that works for me. I suppose it’s impressive that they can somewhat match the singers’ timbres, but it just sounds like autotune to me. The human element that was so crucial to the Beatles’ music is gone.
