While familiar with Nick Drake by reputation I was drawn to this album (as was reviewer Mr Fipple) as it was available in Hybrid SACD format - and at a good price. The surround sound is very good - particularly on the Robert Kirby arrangements (see also Shelagh McDonald who he did stunning work for); there is nothing "for effect" and I'd concur with that reviewer's sound quality comments. This is a great introduction to the work of Nick Drake for those coming new to this talented, tragic musician. The only puzzling ommission from the compilation is 'Day is Done' from the 'Five Leaves Left' album.
