She is best known for her acting on the Carol Burnett Show and as Thelma Harper on Mama's Family. [1] She was often on game shows in the 1970s and 1980s.

11. Dez. 2023 · Vicki Lawrence became well-known as a result of her several performances on CBS’s comedy/variety show The Carol Burnett Show. Lawrence was a featured performer on the show from 1967 through 1978, and she created several famous roles, including Thelma Harper/Mama, which would later become the focus of the NBC sitcom Mama’s Family.
Later on, Vicki Lawrence went into a studio, recorded the song and pressed Bell Records to release it as a single. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in April of 1973.
