29. Juli 2022 · TOM SPRINGFIELD, who has died aged 88, was a singer-songwriter and the brother of Dusty Springfield, with whom he formed the Springfields, the first British singing group to break into the American charts, two years ahead of the Beatles.
He asked Tom Springfield (Dusty’s brother) to write and produce a single, resulting in the surprise chart-topper “I’ll Never Find Another You” which made The Seekers the first Australian group ever to hit No.1 internationally, made Judith Australia’s very first international pop princess and pin-up girl, and unexpectedly cemented her in the group as a full-time Seeker.

Tom of course wrote many songs for The Seekers including Georgy Girl, I'll Never Find Another You, A World Of Our Own and The Carnival Is Over.
