Neville John "Noddy" Holder MBE (born 15 June 1946) is an English musician, songwriter and actor. He was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the English rock band Slade, one of the UK's most successful acts of the 1970s.

Das Don Powell damals, in der absoluten Hochphase von Slade 1973, echte gesundheiltliche Probleme durch einen Autounfall hatte wusste ich nicht. Ich hätte mir immer gern ein Comeback gewünscht; habe Slade aber nach “Universe” leider komplett aus den Augen verloren.
Auch in Deutschland hatten Slade in der Zeit neun Top-10-Platzierungen. Ihr stampfender Sound, der teilweise röhrende Gesang von Noddy Holder und der Hintergrundgesang, der auf eine Art eingemischt war, als ob ganze Fußballstadien den Song begleiten würden, machten den typischen Slade-Sound aus.
