Recorded: 2nd February 1971. 12" EP from Velvet Underground collaborator Nico featuring 4 songs recorded for a John Peel session. This four track vinyl EP was the first of two sessions for John Peel (the second was in 1974), and was recorded live for BBC Radio One’s Top Gear on 2nd February 1971 and broadcast the following week.
The first session was recorded by Tomorrow on 21 September 1967, and the last by Skimmer on 21 October 2004. After Skimmer's session, three further sessions that had already been booked before Peel's death were recorded: Bloc Party on 4 November, 65daysofstatic on 18 November and Sunn O))) on 9 December.
