Svend Harald Christian Asmussen (født 28. februar 1916 i København, død 7. februar 2017 i Dronningmølle) var en dansk jazzmusiker (fiolin) og komponist, kjent for å ha ledet flere jazzband og samarbeidet med skandinaviske jazzartister. Gjennom flere samarbeid med amerikanske storheter ble han kjent internasjonalt som «The Fiddling Viking».
1. Jan. 2009 · Hallelujah Svend Asmussen was a world famous jazz-violinist and entertainer. He had a lot of different groups during the years. On this CD with recordings from 1953, 1958 and 1963 he plays with his quintet, sextet and a duo with guitarist Ulrik Neumann. The recordings are made in Hamburg, Germany where he was a frequent visitor in those years.
