Embroidering the fabric of “Hee Haw” with stories and songs from Cousin Clem’s hometown of “Kornfield Kounty,” Gordie Tapp was a master of versatility. With a penchant for tickling funny bones, Tapp was equally at home with tear-jerking ballads or thigh-slapping skits.
