Are you color blind? The Ishihara test is a color perception test for red-green color deficiencies. It was named after its designer, Shinobu Ishihara, a professor at the University of Tokyo, who first published his tests in 1917. The test consists of 38 colored plates, each of which contains a circle of dots appearing randomized in color and size.

The most common color deficiency is red-green, with blue-yellow deficiency being much less common. It is rare to have no color vision at all. You can inherit a mild, moderate or severe degree of the disorder.
