18. Juni 2020 · Crusade is not a film aimed at women, not remotely, which is probably OK, given that it’s a hyper-violent medieval epic/star vehicle for Arnie. The third act is all plot lines and characters converging on the siege of Jerusalem, and while the preceding 100 pages have been bloody and gruesome to the extreme, it all ticks up a bit here.
The film begins with the boys training Jack for a fight with a deaf student at a rival school, St. Matthews. The fight, taking place at a baseball diamond, results in Jack getting beaten up badly. Before the fight can end, the police show up and the boys, as well as dozens of onlookers scatter. Leo hops on a bike with Sean riding on the back.
