Rock 'n roll, hot rods, fist-fights, and over-the-top angst and dramatics push this film (just) into the overused 'so-bad-it's-good' territory, even if it dulls down from time to time from siding far too much with the incredibly-square nuclear family, but the earnest & moralistic dialogue inflicted upon the actors makes it worth a watch.
