John Reinhardt. United States, 1947. Crime, Mystery, Film noir, Thriller. 71. Synopsis. Two guys, sharing an apartment, meet twin girls. One is Shirley Temple grown-up, and the other is a major piece of bad news. The nice one is murdered and her boyfriend is accused of the crime. The wrong man-wrong victim plot strikes again.
1. Twins, roomates, unreliable narrator. It doesn't make much sense but probably deserves a second closer look anyways it's still enjoyable and especially if your noir was made with a budget under 5 dollars, expect me to be there every time. A solid, no-frills noir.
Linda and Johnny are very much in love, but Estelle, a vamp, is determined to have Johnny for herself. In the meantime, Estelle has been seeing Mike, who cannot resist her. Mike meets Linda only once, but immediately sees that she is the more virtuous of the twins. One night, Linda and Estelle quarrel over Johnny, and Linda goes to see him.
