James Mill. James Mill (ur. 6 kwietnia 1773 w Angus, Szkocja, zm. 23 czerwca 1836 r. w Kensington) – szkocki filozof, historyk, polityk i ekonomista. Przedstawiciel utylitaryzmu i liberalizmu ekonomicznego [1]. Prowadził także badania w dziedzinie teorii edukacji (swe poglądy ukazując najpełniej w wychowaniu syna, Johna Stuarta Milla ).
James Mill ( 6. dubna 1773 – 23. června 1836) byl skotský historik, ekonom a politický filozof. Byl jedním z hlavních představitelů tzv. klasické ekonomie. Byl otcem Johna Stuarta Milla, významného filozofa liberalismu. K jeho nejznámějším historickým pracím patří kniha The History of British India z roku 1818.
