  1. It's massive and super cool. Does anyone know what this is? The table sits low and looks like its one of a kind. The legs are heavy wood and the middle is hand hammered copper. It is really heavy and really big (56" wide by 18" high). I have been using it as a coffee table, but this probably isn't the original use.

  2. This could be Stemontitis splendens, a slime mold. That would also explain the rapid growth. Here's some info. Your's seems to be in an early stage, it should turn brown soon. According to this crappy looking site, which specifically deals with molds and funghi in homes, it seems to be no hazard in itself.
