Maria Muldaur is the 1973 debut studio album of musician Maria Muldaur. The album includes "Midnight at the Oasis", her best-known single, which charted at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 [1] and "Three Dollar Bill", which charted at #7 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts. [2]
Her self-titled debut appeared the next year, featuring a cast of well-known musicians that included Dr. John, Ry Cooder, Klaus Voormann, and Spooner Oldham. Guitarist Amos Garrett provided a sensual jazz-styled backdrop for his standout song, Midnight At The Oasis, which grabbed Grammy nominations for Record and Song of the Year.

A native of Center Star, Spooner Oldham gained his first recording experience as a member of the rhythm section at Fame Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals. It was there that he met songwriting partner Dan Penn.
