Robert Alan Krieger (born January 8, 1946) is an American guitarist and founding member of the rock band the Doors. Krieger wrote or co-wrote many of the Doors' songs, including the hits "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Touch Me", and "Love Her Madly".
The group's four man membership was established when guitarist Robby Krieger agreed to join. Though he had previous experience playing folk and flamenco , Krieger had only been playing the electric guitar for a few months when he was invited to become a member of the band, soon renamed the Doors.
