   Vor 4 Tagen · マーティー・ペイチ（p）は、アート・ペッパー（as）をフューチャーした録音をいくつか残しているのをはじめ、編曲者、ピアニストとして、1950年代の西海岸ジャズへの貢献が大きいミュージシャンです。 1956年録音の本作は、もういうことなしの傑作で、愛聴盤です。 バディ・クラークのどっしりとしたベース、端正なペイチのピアノ、そして、舞うようなアドリブを繰り広げるペッパーと言うことありません。 「You and the Night and the Music」、「Over the Rainbow」、「Marty's Blues」などと、聴き惚れます。 （参考）本作から「You and the Night and the Music」が聴けます。
