It's tough to be influenced by Tom Waits without just sounding like you really like Tom Waits. Already suggested but the first couple of Man Man albums might scratch the itch. Sort of an updated take on that sound mixed with some other stuff. Fun live band, too.

Vor 6 Tagen · Awesome! Thanks for posting. Been a fan since the first Waits album that I heard: Nighthawks at the Diner. Just after that release, I saw him at a club on State St. in Madison, WI doing a solo show on an old honkytonk upright piano. He was superb.
