There was even gab from Desolation about the ghosts seemingly being after him since he was born. He told Melanie he’ll die fighting, not running. That just correlates to my theory. If he always had that mindset, then the demons couldn’t and wouldn’t really want to touch him. I mean they can’t. Desolation would’ve probably rejected the demon anyway because of how tough he was.
