I don't think there is a specific subgenre with an Egyptian (assuming ancient) style. It does have elements of mysticism and dark beauty that resonates with the community, though. No, goth uses many different inspirations from iconographies, styles, fashions, religions, etc. There is no “type” dedicated to any in particular.
