Your fingers are far too narrow relative to the width of the palm for this to work naturally. Either thin out the palm or plump up the fingers. You can add metacarpals and move them laterally towards each other when the fingers close. Real hands do this to some extent anyway. You can non-uniformly scale up the joints of the fingers when they close.
