An American agent is killed in Bangkok while investigating suspicious virus outbreaks in south east Asia. Agent OSS 117 is sent to Thailand to unravel the mysteries behind the man called Dr. Sinn.
The first two films, OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006) and OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), are both directed by Hazanavicius and co-written with Halin. However, for the third film, Hazanavicius chose not to return due to creative differences with Halin regarding the script.
