Warm Dust were a British progressive jazz rock band of the early 1970s. Although a relatively obscure group, they featured Paul Carrack and Terry "Tex" Comer, who later formed Ace. They recorded for the Trend and BASF labels.
Warm Dust. British progressive rock band formed in Sheffield in 1970. They were fronted by singer Paul Carrack and mixed jazz, blues and classical elements into their music. They released three albums before disbanding in 1972, with two members forming Ace (7).
Warm Dust biography. Among the wave of brass rock groups that embraced the rock world from 68 until 71 or 72, Warm Dust was a late-comer, but quickly became one of the most interesting and progressive group of the genre.

Mai 2024 · Warm Dust sind aber dann am besten, wenn sie in längeren Formabläufen jazzig-rocken, sich die Linien der verschiedenen Instrumente komplex verschlingen, wie im Mittelteil von "Justify The Things Your Hands Have Done". Der Rest der Platte ist ganz nett, nicht unbedingt weltbewegend, aber auch nicht ganz schlecht. Zum Seitenanfang.
