Ich möchte aber an dieser Stelle auf die ultimative Version verweisen, die von Kate Bush (Album: Common Ground - Voices of Modern Irish Music) gesungen wird. Die rührt zu Tränen.

Doppel-CD kann überzeugen (neben einer Oldfield-Kurzbiographie und einer Auflistung der Live-Musiker der Jahre 81-84, gibt es auch Details zu allen bisher veröffentlichten Alben).

16. Mai 2024 · Daraus aber ein "derart unprofessionelles" Album zu machen, finde ich doch stark übertrieben. Gnadenlos enttäuscht war ich beim Hören dieser Platte auch nie und Stümperhaftigkeit will ich Herrn Oldfield ebenfalls nicht andichten. Und last but not least finde ich Tubular Bells keine Sekunde zu lang.
