The Iron Guard (Romanian: Garda de Fier) was a Romanian militant revolutionary fascist movement and political party founded in 1927 by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu as the Legion of the Archangel Michael (Legiunea Arhanghelul Mihail) or the Legionary Movement (Mișcarea Legionară).

26. Feb. 2012 · Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. Ab 1912 besucht Codreanu das Militärlyzeum von Mănăstirea Dealului. Hier entwickelt er seine lebenslange Vorliebe für militärische Disziplin. Im August 1916 tritt Rumänien auf der Seite der Entente in den Ersten Weltkrieg ein. Codreanu meldet sich als Freiwilliger, wird aber wegen seines jugendlichen Alters abgelehnt.
