On June 5th, 1964, "Liza Jane" b/w "Louie, Louie Go Home" was released by Davie Jones with the King-Bees. This was David Bowie's debut single and despite regional airplay, it was not commercially successful. Bowie left the band shortly afterwards and joined The Manish Boys.
