Translate text. On your computer, open Google Translate. At the top of the screen, select the languages to translate. From: Choose a language or select Detect language . To: Select the language that you want the translation in. In the text box on the left, enter the text you want to translate. Choose what you want to do:

Use available languages & lengths. In several languages, you can get gender-specific translations for single words. In fewer languages, you can also get gender-specific translations for short phrases and sentences that mention a person in a gender-neutral way. Gender-specific translations in more languages are coming soon.
Translate by speech. Open the Translate app . At the bottom, select the languages to translate to and from. Tap Dictation . If this button is disabled, the spoken language can't be translated.
