Vor 4 Tagen · ‘Secondary’는 총 5개 채널을 통해 미국의 한 풋볼 경기장에서 펼쳐지는 일을 보여주는 비디오 설치 미술 작품입니다. 영상은 1978년 프로 미식축구 선수였던 대릴 스팅리가 경기 중 다른 선수와 충돌해 전신이 마비된 사건을 중심으로 전개되죠. 이를 통해 실제 폭력과 그의 재현, 그리고 환희가 복잡하게 얽힌 스포츠 엔터테인먼트의 세계를 탐구합니다. 이번 전시에서는 ‘Secondary’에서 파생된 세라믹 조각 작품도 만나볼 수 있습니다. 웨이트 운동에 쓰이는 파워랙 형태를 하고 있는데요. 영상 속 퍼포먼스와 그것이 표현하는 힘, 유연성, 취약성, 그리고 기억의 본질을 떠올리게 하죠.
