Lunn was born in May 1956. His father was a saxophonist in a jazz band. [2] Lunn graduated from Glasgow University, where he studied 12-tone techniques.
He is probably best known for scoring the hugely successful flagship ITV/Carnival Films drama, Downton Abbey, for which he has received two Primetime Emmy Awards, in 2012 and 2013, a further nomination in 2014, two Bafta nominations in 2012 & 2016.
