9. Nov. 2015 · The UK punk scene has been mourning the death of Richard ‘Dickie’ Hammond, guitarist for Leatherface, who died at the age of 50.
Formed in August 1988 by Frankie Stubbs and Dickie Hammond (also of HDQ), Leatherface released four full-length albums before their initial split in 1993.
Leatherface wurde im August 1988 in Sunderland gegründet. Ab 2006 war nach 12 Jahren Pause auch Dickie Hammond wieder dabei. Somit spielte die Band bis auf den Bassisten (seit 1999 Davey Burdon) wieder in Originalbesetzung. 2008 veröffentlichte Rubber Factory Records ein Tribut-Album.
