Sax Pax for a Sax is a collaboration album between the London Saxophonic and the blind musician, composer, and performer Moondog. The album was recorded in 1994 and released on November 28, 1997. The album marks Moondog's re-emergence into the American jazz market.
The composer calls his saxophone project Sax Pax, underlining that in this case the saxophones are not to be linked with military bands for which the instruments originally had been intended, but are used exclusively for peaceful purposes.

SAX PAX FOR A SAX (Atlantic 83069-2) is Moondog's first album in twenty-six years, and only his sixth in a recorded career that spans five decades. And, frankly, I had assumed until this new album was released that Moondog was dead.
