MC Five ( Motor City Five, deutsch „die Fünf aus der Stadt der Motoren“) waren eine Rockband aus Lincoln Park, einer Stadt im Großraum Detroit, Michigan, USA. Die 1964 gegründete Band war einer der wichtigsten Vorläufer des Punk. Die MC5 standen damit im krassen Gegensatz zu den sich entwickelnden Genres des Artrock und Disco.
MC5 was an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, in 1963. The classic line-up consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson.
