Boult makes a fine job of Holst’s music. In particular, there’s a refined rendition of the ‘Dance of the Spirits of Water’. The concluding ‘Dance of the Spirits of Fire’ is strongly projected. The disc concludes with something of an anomaly in Boult’s discography: his only recording of music by Stravinsky.
