Plot. Sam Whipple, a broke lawyer who is nevertheless young at heart, meets Santa Claus and learns that he is upset because he has a new landlord named Phineas T. One evening, attorney Sam Whipple (Paul Tripp) is surprised to encounter Santa Claus (Alberto Rabagliati). Santa explains to Whipple that a multi-zillionaire named Phineas T Prune (Rossano Brazzi) has purchased the North Pole, and threatening to evict him by midnight on December 24th, if he doesn't pay the rent Prune claims he owes.
Overview. Sam Whipple, an attorney in once-upon-a-time-land, is startled to receive a visit from Santa Claus shortly before Christmas. It seems that when he was a child, Sam wrote a letter thanking Santa for the presents he'd received, and offering to return the favor someday.
