Art Deco ist ein Jazzalbum von Don Cherry. Die Aufnahmen entstanden am 27., 28. und 30. August 1988 im Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs und erschienen 1989 auf A&M Records.
A reappearance on a recording led by Cherry in 1988 – Art Deco – led to a short resurgence of interest in Clay's career. He died in Dallas, Texas on January 6, 1995, aged 59. Playing style. Grove wrote that "Clay's style revealed a bop-oriented approach, reminiscent of an angular Lester Young."

26. Sept. 2010 · Just listening back to an old favorite recording, Don Cherry's Art Deco from around '89. James Clay plays stunningly beatiful tenor on that album, imho. Incredibly medolic, and bursting with creative ideas. Forgot how terrific a recording that one was. Clay is prominently featured on Body and Soul and I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face.
