Maggie MacNeal war 32 Jahre mit dem 2005 verstorbenen Frans Smit, einem ehemaligen Schlagzeuger der Gruppe Brainbox, verheiratet, der auf zahlreichen ihrer Soloplatten als Musiker oder Co-Autor beteiligt war. In februari 2009 trouwde MacNeal opnieuw, met haar vriend Klaus Metternich. In 2012 verscheen het boek Mouth & MacNeal, duo tegen wil en dank, geschreven door Roel Smit.
