Steve Cradock plays regularly with Paul Weller, as well as with Amy MacDonald. During their peak (around the time of the Moseley Shoals release) OCS also regularly performed on stage with Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis, with whom they were on tour at the time.

Cradock spielte auch auf Wellers Album Wild Wood. Im Jahr darauf wurden sie von Noel Gallagher von Oasis für deren erste große Tour als Begleitband engagiert. Von dem Erfolg und der aufkommenden Britpop -Bewegung sowie der Werbung durch Gallagher, der sie immer wieder ins Gespräch brachte, konnten Ocean Colour Scene profitieren und 1995 unterschrieben sie einen neuen Plattenvertrag mit MCA .

15. Mai 2021 · underwhelming eponymous debut came the confident and brilliant Moseley Shoals. Ocean Colour Scene’s terrific album of 1996, it celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary last month. This is an album I bought when it came out. As a twelve-year-old, it was quite an exciting album to get!
